CUNY at Herbert H. Lehman College Nursing, Education, Research and Practice Center & Associated Asbestos Abatement

Citnalta Construction Corp. is currently completing construction of a new five-story CUNY Lehman College Nursing, Education, Research and Practice Center in the Bronx for the Dormitory Authority State of New York (DASNY). The new 52,289 sq. ft. building will simulate a live medical practice facility. A variety of state-of-the-art equipment is included in the new building such as prefabricated headwalls with various integrated medical services including oxygen and vacuums, nurse call systems, and communication ports. There are 40 stations with headwalls, medical gas, medical accessories monitors, microphones, video cameras, and a recording station for playback procedures and review by facility educators. Data ports also provide artificial intelligence-driven simulation mannequins which provide hands-on practical exercises such as birthing, heart attacks and lacerations for the most realistic learning experience.
