ICYMI: Governor Hochul Announces LIRR Copiague Station Now Fully Accessible
Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that the Copiague Long Island Rail Road Station has been made accessible to all in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act with the opening of the station’s first-ever elevator and a sidewalk that connects with it. This station is the first of three Babylon Branch stations that will be made fully accessible in the next few weeks. Amityville and Lindenhurst are expected to join Copiague with accessibility upgrades before the end of June.
Lehman College in New York City marks opening of nursing school facility
Lehman College in New York City has held a ceremonial ribbon cutting to mark the opening of the Nursing Education, Research and Practice Center (NERPC).
The $95 million, 52,000-square foot NERPC houses classrooms, teaching and research laboratories, faculty offices, and support spaces for both undergraduate and graduate programs of the Department of Nursing.

The Bronx, NY – Marking the completion of Lehman College’s most significant capital project in its history, the new Nursing Education, Research, and Practice Center (NERPC) officially opened its doors with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The Lehman College leadership and students, elected officials, representatives of the owner City College of New York (CUNY), project manager of the Dormitory Authority of New York (DASNY), Urbahn Architects, and contractor Citnalta Construction led the ceremonies.

345 Adams Street - Phase 1 of $110M office build-out in Brooklyn
Urbahn Architects and contractor Citnalta have completed the renovation of offices for multiple New York City public agencies on six floors of 345 Adams Street, a 13-story commercial building located in Downtown Brooklyn. New York City owns 11 floors of the building and uses the space to house a variety of city agencies. The work represents part of a $110 million, building-wide renovation, infrastructure upgrade, and fire protection systems improvement project

The overcrowded P.S. 97 sat on an underutilized site in the Gravesend neighborhood of Brooklyn. The New York City School Construction Authority hired Ciardullo Architecture & Engineering to design a suitable addition. Citnalta Construction Corp. was the general contractor.
MTA Completes Renovations at 170 St / Jerome Av Station, Making Station Accessible to All Customers
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today unveiled three new elevators and two new staircases at the 170 St subway station on Jerome Avenue in the Bronx. The elevators allow the station to be accessible to all customers for the first time.
